Taking place in December, the Kyiv Lions Club Presidents Gala Dinner is the final event in the KLC fundraising calendar. No, this is not a party for any head of state, but the night when presidency of the KLC is handed over from the outgoing president to the incoming. This is the night when grateful thanks are given to all those who have supported the KLC over the past year including Lions who have gone above and beyond the call of duty, and corporate sponsors who have donated goods, services and money over the past year. More importantly, it is another chance to raise money for the needy and underprivileged, and, as with all other KLC events, it does that very well.

As with all KLC events, the Presidents Gala Dinner is a night well worth attending with good food, wine and spirits all included in the price of the ticket, as is the excellent entertainment on offer which always includes performances from top Ukrainian stars as well as the fundraising fun of the live and silent auctions, and the chance to win some top prizes through the raffle. This event may be a little more formal than Burns Night and Kozak Night, but it still offers plenty of chances to let your hair down and strut your stuff on the dance floor, especially later in the evening when local bands and DJs play all your favourite Ukrainian and international tunes.

The KLC Presidents Gala Dinner raises substantial sums for charity through ticket sales for the event, sponsorship, live and silent auctions and raffle, all of which is invested in verifiable charity projects. Coming just before Christmas, this is the event to attend if you wish to celebrate the festive season with friends and loved ones, and to do so safe in the knowledge you are helping those less fortunate.
